As time consumes me one more day
I write to you this verse
I write and weep and think of ways
To undo this ticking curse
What if I want to stay here
I won't leave these younger times
But time has no hand to pull me
For times hands just tick tick, chime
The pattern of a destroyed life
Comes all to constant, way to fast
As I stare into my only sight
Of the seconds ticking past
I wish to find a way
To freeze me here today
To rise above this ticking hell
Before I reach my next birthday
And thinking, wonder, a hopeless thought
Of the childhood once mine
I won't forgive what youve done to me
As I hear the tick tick... chime
