Some are born in the light basking in the love and

The attention of all who know them.

Others are born in the shadow, never fully being

Seen and seldom ever heard.

They live in the darkness in the background

Of everyone's lives.



Just a fixture on the wall, passed by a

Million times. Never looked at for the

True beauty it possesses.

Moving threw life in this sad existence

Always wanting more but never

Reaching for it.


I live my life in your shadow

Wanting so much for you

In my mind I know that you will outshine the rest

I know that I can never add up to what you can

You were born with the glory an I was born to

Watch you illuminate the world.
