Fear is the dragon
You are the slayer
The world is a stage
Whereas you are the player
It is the monster
Equipped with curved claws
Ready to devour with its massive jaws
Will you surrender
Before the curtain draws?
Or will you gallantly bow
As the audience applauds?
Fight this demon and don’t let it win
For your journey will soon begin…

Fear is a state of mind
It will overcome you if you let it
It grabs you by the hand
Pulling you in
Never letting you forget it
Will you stand there, panic-stricken,
With nothing to say?
Or will you let your emotions
Have their way?
Is it possible to win this game
That you’ve been forced to play?

Fear is the monster under your bed
Living off all the things you dread
It lurks in the shadows, day and night
Giggling in sheer delight
At the mere thought of giving you a fright
Find your focus and you might
Just be able to finally win this fight

Fear is a bunny, harmless in your head
No longer an emotion that causes dread
As the smoke rises, self esteem does too
Panic banished, satisfaction renewed
As the curtain draws, the questions follow you
“I’m not afraid…are you?”
