Welcome To My World

I walked quite far off this plank
To the deep end of the pool
To where people like me are pitied
Where we become the fools
Just because we're different,
Just because I'm not like you
I wish we could switch places
You could walk a mile in my shoes
My life It lingers forward
To be accepted for myself
And each day my feet step backwards
Each step marks where I fell
I laugh and smile on the outside
But the outsides looking in
My soul exposed, for everyone
To see my pain within
I wish today would change
Someone please walk in my shoes
I wish I'd have the chance, for once
To finally laugh at you
