Too many times I have heard
How we are so much better off.
How we are free,
While others are not.
Truly in my soul I feel,
I take for granted every meal.

My heart goes out to all of those,
Who can not leave the house alone
How we are free,
And some are not.
Even now I can not say,
That every night for them I pray.

But this land is my only home,
And I am proud to stand for her.
We are free,
And will always be.
My eyes are weeping over her,
My country standing proud and tall

Through monsoons of deadly strife,
She stands immortal with everlasting life..
I am free,
And will always be,
With my flag waving true,
The colors red, white, and blue.

Note: I had to write this for school...I am not sure how well I like it.
Considering I did not have the emmotion i ussually do, I do not think it
turned out too bad.
