You were there the day I started Preschool,
You were there the day when hugging you wasn’t cool,
You were there the day I lost my first tooth,
You were there the day of my first play,
You were there the first Middle School day,
You weren’t there on my first date,
You weren’t there when I won all state,
You weren’t there when High School began,
You weren’t there the day I fell in love with my man,
You weren’t there the day I graduated,
You weren’t there the day it was YOU I hated,
And You won’t be there on my wedding day…
So all I have to say is
Do you think this is all okay?
