A mindless girl with no escape
A lost teenager and a soldier taking shape
With gazing blue eyes and a broken spirit
This young girl begins to fear it
Fight for freedom but lose your own
Always hiding what can't be shown
She'll put on that uniform in the morning
And be ready for war with no warning
She'll conceal who she is with her hair tied in a bun
Never quitting until the battle is done
As she shoots her weapon and learns to kill
She slowly breaks down and loses her will
But she'll never shed a single tear
For fear of showing whats already clear
This girls family learned to cry
Because this young soldier had to die
This girl went to war and got no closure
Because this girl is an American soldier
