Behind the Veil

What do I see everyday?

Nothing.

Many People hide behind the veil.

The veil of mystery
The shroud of secrets

Such things make people seem

Like a cheer princess
Surrounded by perfection...

Or a majestic football hero
Magnetic with charm...

Or a lonely Gothic
Streamed with Death...

Such things fade with Time
And with Time fades the veil

What shall we see behind it?

Shall it be that the

Princess is
Broken
Sunken
Consumed by
Cheerleading and Satisfaction
Polished nails take a toll

Or how about the Football Star?
What of his veil?
Take a peek
And see...

Hunger
Frustration
Madness
Rage
A Hero and Villain
In one
Equal

In last to clash
Our little Gothic
Wears their hearts on their sleeves
And bleeds all their worries away

But do they still hold within
A hush-hush…
Hush to hear it…

Their heart holds strength
They embrace their shadows
The sensations that
Thrust them into
The chasm
Of rawness

Their bodies show bravery
For it aches
Burns
Bends
Bleeds
Pleads
To be released of it all

And their mind shows

Unflinching Turmoil
This shall mold
Into an armor of awareness
Of all

A Lesson instilled:
Reveal what lies beneath
Liberate your demons
And, glorify your havoc
