I put you out of my mind today
I shut you into that dark closet of forget
Locked the door, key thrown away
And did so without trembling with cold sweat

I went out of control with all my might
I refused to let your whims dictate my actions
My armor of esteem is form fitting and tight
Distracting you during our mental transactions

I went off the deep end into nothingness
Into a world of sensory deprived peace
Hearing nothing, feeling nothing, caring even less
My heart doesn't ache, free of your disease

What you thought was love was nothing more than obsession
To keep you from being totally alone
Being with you was one of my biggest lessons
School's out, it's time for you to go home
