My dreams are falling down
As the stars rise above
Are you happy now we're done?
Is it what you wanted?

For you will shine bright like the stars
That seem so near, but far away
So all I realize is the darkness
Laying between you and me
I will walk across the sun
Shining brighter with every step
But the shadows are on the inside
Hiding beneath my skin

Because when you rose with the glowing stars
My dreams slipped away;
What shines so brightly
Is a mask that hides a heart that decays
