We're losing quick to this economic crisis,
Home appliances no longer functioning,
Tired of endless labor with no pay.
"We've got to cut these strikers loose," they say,
There corporate maggots feeding fierce off
The working class who earn their pay checks the hard way;
Not with lies but with flesh and bone;
Mind, body, and soul for little or nothing at all,
While these corporate heads receive million dollar bonuses,
Billions of out tax money to lay to waste on useless luxuries.
Money that should be used to fund the bleak future of our youth,
Our faded youth; tainted.
We're losing quick to the mounting expenses
That $60,000 a year simply won't cover.
They say that when my neighbor loses his job,
We're in a recession.
But when I lose my job it's the beginning of depression.
But what happens when we lose homes and prized possessions,
Cars we can no longer pay for because of lack of funds,
But we keep our jobs?
Recession or Depression? Or some worse situation?
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
We're not desperate, we're aching for a break,
And there are no measures to take.
Even bank robbers are out of business;
They're employers have also run out of money.
We can't steal from the poor; they've nothing left.
And the rich are the ones in control anyway
Benefiting from the hardships we face.
When democracy give birth to socialism?
Where did out freedom go?
When did Marxist revolutionaries come to power
In a country that advocated freedom and liberty?
"Money is the root of all evil",
And evil is too much of an understatement in these trying times.
We're losing quick to the economic crisis
I'm losing quick to the economic crisis.
With my car being repossessed,
My home being foreclosed,
My freedom being repressed.
The American Dream has become a nightmare,
And this democracy is inching closer to
A third-world Socialist regime.
And who's the one to save us from the fucking villains now?
