Hopeless Gray Eyes

Don’t fall head over heals, stumble, or crawl on the ground for the
so-called heartfelt words he speaks
He only says what you want to hear

No truth to be found behind his voice so sweet it brings those butterflies

He only lies straight in the eye

Don’t trust his warm touch so soft you quiver at just the sight of his
hands
He thinks of others while holding you tight

If you keep holding on to what’s not there only seeing what you want
You will fall fast and dreadfully
You’ll be trapped like a wild animal in his cage of lies
Lay your heart on the curved tight line
He’ll cut it without a trace of thought in his mind

If you keep holding on to what’s not there only seeing what you want
You will be left behind, alone.
You’ll only have tears in your hopeless gray eyes
Lay your heart on the curved, tight line
He’ll cut it without a trace of thought in his mind

Don’t fall head over heals, stumble, or crawl on the ground for the
so-called heartfelt words he speaks
He only says what you want to hear

No truth to be found behind his voice so sweet it brings those butterflies

He only lies straight in the eye

Don’t trust his warm touch so soft you quiver at just the sight of his
hands
He thinks of others while holding you tight tonight
