So I tripped today
Not a hard fall
Just a stumble
You know the kind of stumble that you look around to make sure no one saw
Well when I tripped today, I realized
No one was there to catch me
So when I turned around to look & see who all might have saw it
All I saw was my apartment,
The futon was just…. there,
Coats and shoes in the closet,
Truck/coffee table…yep still junky
Computer....there too, the internet was actually the reason for my fall.
So instead of getting RIGHT up I sat there
I let my trip defeat me, didn’t care to stop it
I laughed a little
Kind of out of pity for myself,
And somewhat out of irony,
THEN got up
And acted like NOTHING happened…who could prove it
You weren’t there to catch OR see me fall!
