My Escape

A sacred place
ten steps from the world.
Majestic space
let’s my mind unfurl.
All my questions
and my thoughts alike
make harmony:
epiphany strike.
It’s so tranquil
I can’t be depressed,
though not yet joy,
it’s still nice to rest.
There’s no judgment
on me or my mind,
so I gaze for
just something to find.
A trail leads off
to where I don’t know.
It’s worth a thought,
but nay I won’t go.
With just one thing
that’s left to ponder,
I’ll sit back and
let my mind wonder.
