My Life, My Death, My Lesson *( 9/11 Tribute)*

Today seemed like a good day
Before I went upstairs
Up to my floor where fate awaits
For fates the only one who cares
Early in the morning
Complaining about my day
Complaining, thoughtless, ignorant
To what will soon just drift away
It hit me like an earthquake
Without the rumble, just the crash
It hit me, as I'm sailing down
With only seconds ticking past
A frieball of guilt
Of how I'll spend this time
My family, my only thought
As these chills run down my spine
What if I don't see you
If I can't hold you with my love
These twin towers bring me to the ground
But I'll wait for you, above
The fire ensues within the walls
This cage, forever closed
A thousand people, screaming
On an innocent death row
And me, I'm just another
Upon the walls marked dead
I'm just another name you read
Another thought passed through your head
I'm just another body
Missing here, today
The battlefield of hopelessness
One more missing in the fray
But from my death I hope you learn
To love and stick together
One nation, Under god
United, and forever
