With the stripes of Christ,
A promise of healing we gain.
With the love Jesus shows,
Satan can deliver no pain.

With each drop of blood
And the life that Christ gave,
Was a promise of redemption,
Whenever we stray.
When He rose once again
And the stone rolled away,
His promise of eternal life,
Was given to us that day.

Satan gave an evil laugh
When Jesus died that day.
Satan thought he had won,
Until Christ rose from that grave.

Each day Satan throws at us
The mistakes of our past.
But Jesus reminds us
His promise of love will last.

Satan strives each day
To weaken each soul,
But the children of Christ,
He cannot control.
