Sweet Release

Bound by truths I do not believe,
Strangled by your way of life you’ve thrown on me.
Chains surround my heart, it screams to be free!

Why do so many bright stars need to perish for being themselves?
In doing so, we must be trapped to our eternal flaming cells?
Your way or no way-straight to hell.
I can’t believe it.
I won’t believe it.
The love inside slips out the seams,
on my way to fulfill my dreams.
But I’m being swallowed by the guilt it seems.

Hope.
Hope that a force much greater than me,
Is not the fierce, punishing fire of your faith.

Finally standing on my own two feet.
Away, far away from you, such sweet release.
