It's been a long time since I last saw your face
For a while, the thought of your smile had been erased

The one I grew up with as my best friend
I knew we would always be together until the end

The one I could talk to when I needed you there
Whenever I saw you in the mirror, I would sit there and stare
Now many years have past
Since the time I saw your happy fast last
For now a frown has fallen upon my face
My life seems like an unwinnable race
A race against time, life and space
But now, once again I have seen your face

How I have missed you so
But for now, dear stranger
I really must go
