The Person I Never Met

The person I never met
Would be my best friend
This person, I know
And wouldn't pretend
The person that loves me
The person that cared
The moments we lived through
And the tears that we shared
The person that I
Had never, ever met
This faint picture of you
In your black sillhouette
This person that held me
With arms open wide
This person, mysterious
As I think of their eyes
As I think of their heart
And just who they'd be
If I had met them
And they had met me
What would they look like
And how would they act
They'd act like a normal person
Caring, infact
They would treat me
Like a nice human being
Someone without hate
They won't hurt my feelings
This person would see me
And not find a laugh
And I'd not find a whisper
As the heartless, walk past
I would've found love
And that I regret
I'll miss you, forever
The person I never met
