If you ever seemed as lovely

If you ever seemed as lovely...
My memory is surely lack
Because this mere moment
Has become the ambrosia for my soul.

I think there's something different
I guess it must be your hair
I meant no disrespect
For all I can do is stare.

What is that new perfume your wear?
It's pleasent to my sense
How strange and familar...
Oh yes...I remember that night well.

How akward I seem right now
I'm trembling out of need
It's as though heaven has made a mistake
And they're one angel short.

Could you please sing a song?
For it's been such a long day
So soothing your voice may be
Still pales against your touch.

Why is that I feel a tear?
As you walk toward from the hall
Perhaps I see my life go by
I know what it means,
To be happy at last.
