I’m writing this with hopes you do care,
About what’s going on between you and me.
I have fallen for you, how could this be?
I don’t think about you all the time
But there are things that remind
Me of who you are, who you were,
What went on between me and you.
Through the screams of every fight,
All the things I tried to hide.
Through the laughs and tears of joy,
You were there for me, you know this boy.
So let me tell you how,
I feel in this letter now.
Thank you for all your smiles,
For toughing it through the trials.
I’m wondering just how you feel.
If it’s really just what I hear,
When you play that love song.
I can cry for oh so long.
So, darling, this is just a reminder.
I’ll always be right there behind you.
You were my friend before anything,
By my side before love came in.
So what I’m trying to do,
Is say...I love you
All this from someone who cares
