Silent

I have longed for you for so long,
Desperately wanting you.
Passion burns inside of me,
Calling out to you.
Why can you not be mine,
So many things stopping you.
Days, months, years pass by,
Feelings growing stronger…fuller.
Nothing will become of this love for you,
You do not contain it for me.
Who would choose to be so selfish with their feelings,
Wondering each day why they are alone.
Someone is here who doesn’t want you to be,
Someone screaming, trying to grasp your heart.
Not much longer until I depart,
Will I forever be…silent?
