God, help my friends make it through the day...
And ,God, help me to do more then just pray...
Help me to do what’s right...
Help me to make it through the night...
God, help me to think not only of me,
Help me to become emotionally strong as can be...
Allow me to make it through as I pay the price...
When I’m not willing to suffer as sacrifice...
God, teach me love with no resulting hate...
Make me loveless now if that is forever my fate...
God let me do no wrong to others...
Make my heart and soul light as a butterfly that flutters...
If only to bring pain and anguish to others, let me be alone...
Let others hearts around me turn to stone...
Never the less, I’ll make it through, warm me to the core...
Because I know of bigger plan waiting for me forever more...
