I Live Upon Your Scars

The Earth, it churns and burns for me
The Earth bleeds on its own
The Earth is trashed and ravaged up
This Earth, our faithfull home
If mother nature read my words
I'm sure she would be proud
For I am mother nature's son
To mother, I have vowed
One nation, under God, united on your lands
We'll burn you up and tear you down
How much can mother stand
One nation of destroyers
A nation's home is thee
Admonished, by humanity
But still you service me
The Earth shall moan and groan to me
In a softly spoken voice
Its fading body, weeps to me
It lays down weak and poise
My body still stands strong to thee
Yet I shall lend no hand
Corrupted, by this bitter world
A corrupter to your lands
Why have you forgiven us
For you that we've upheaved
We steal you blood of oil
And forgiveness, we've recieved
I hope you know, I care, dear Mom
Once living, in your arms
I'd gladly, live my life again
And do your face no harm
No scars would I leave behind
No tears will I have left
For regrets of but a mother
That I slowly forget
I'll live by her in harmony
And on the day I die
The Earth shall gobble up my bones
And set my soul afly
Through looking, now, I wish I lived
Upon her sheer beauty
And locked within this distant sky
I wish it'd let me free
Why did I forsake the Earth
For but a bitter sky
The Earth is much more beautiful
Why did I say goodbye?
