Everyday it seems
I'm the girl looking out
trapped inside myself
a little girl trying to shout

Peeking through a window
another world out there
looking through the glass
to a world she couldn't share

Little girl trapped in time
the one who is alone
the girl who grew up too fast
no love was ever shown

Little girl with knowledge
way beyond her years
of how cruel people could be
and is left with only fears

The little girl is left
to struggle on her own
hiding deep inside
this body that is grown
