My heart is heavy today,
I hang my head with shame.
To break the sacred trust we shared,
Falling into territory, I would’ve never dared.
Tears flood my cheeks as I think of your eyes.
Your mouth full of love,
My tongue full of lies.
So devoted to you-so how can this be?
Taking a step back-no one to blame but me.
Losing your love would be my mistake.
Do I dare let you know with that at stake?
To miss your arms, to break your heart,
Do I keep silent so we never part?
Will this fire inside me just burn till I burst?
Is it worth all that to save you from that hurt?
Would you love me for my honesty?
Or would my act of deceit be all you could see?
