Some things in life
We don’t understand
Like the hurt that comes
With loving a man

From the moment I saw you
You looked so kind
I hoped that one day
You could be mine

When our eyes met that night
I felt something inside
You lit a spark in me
I felt so alive

I’m not sure what happened
From then till now
I just know we’ve been loving
Like we don’t know how

Everyone knows
But refuses to see
That nothing in life
Is all that it seems

I love you so much
And I don’t understand
Why we hurt each other
Over and over again

What are we afraid of?
What’s this all about?
Are we in some way
Trying to get out?

I think we’re both scared
Scared of breaking our heart
But do we stop to think
How much it hurts when we’re apart?

When I’m not with you
I’m wishing I was
So shouldn’t this be a sign
For the both of us?

Let’s stop acting
The way that we do
And concentrate on being
“Me and You”
