Let not love be dead,
Let not these fears
consume me-
till dread
fills my soul,
Let me not be
an empty person
for those in love
to see-
Let not my light
escape from me-
Once I brightly shone-
Never to be left alone-
How is it now
the light flickers
soon to go out-
An empty well,
with a slightly
dripping spout,
A flower with no
leaves....
Let not my beauty die,
Nor let me be,
A lone person
for all to see,
An oyster with no
pearl,
A face with no
name,
Let not love
escape from me.....
