Her face was once so sweet and fair,
In it roses bloomed,
But it is gone, that once was there,
As sunshine leaves a room.
Love her not, no still I do,
For her I laugh and weep,
But it is a lie that keeps me here,
For true my love, it sleeps.
Love should be so sweet and fair,
Enough to seek the moon,
The love we had, so once like that,
Now only seeks its doom.
