Christmas

Twas the night after Christmas
And all through the town,
Not a person was praying,
Not one soul around.

The nativity was packed
Away with the lights
No one remembering the star
That led the wise men that night.

The meaning forgotten of Christmasy carols.
"Hark the Harold Angel's Sing"
"The First Noel"
The gift of His son, that God did bring.

Presents, lights, Christmas trees, doves
Spirit of giving, spirit of peace, spirit of love.
All put away with the Christmas decor
Completely forgetting what Christmas is for.

Glory to God in the highest
Shall be heard all over the Earth
As we celebrate for more then one day
The night of our dear Savior's birth.

It's hard to finish this poem
I'm not sure of what to say.
But what everyone should know
Is that soon will be the day.

The day He comes back to Earth
From Heaven up above.
His son laid upon the cross
Doesn't that show His never-ending love?

I'm not trying to scare you,
Or bring to you any fear.
But the day of Christ returning
Is drawing very near.

Jesus gave his only life
To erase our sins, gives us a brand new slate,
So, please, take Christ as your Savior
Before it is too late.
