I am missing
A part of myself
No one to turn to
No more lies to tell

It's getting harder
So hard just to breathe
Sleepless most nights
It's more than it seems

Staring at my future
And turning away
Unable to accept
The deal I must play

Begging your mercy
Left cold in the rain
I'm crying this for you
Here wrapped in my pain

Turn into shadows
Confuse a lost soul
Whose searching for meaning
Which no one can know

Caught in your moment
Destroyed by your eyes
Struggling for closure
Trying to say a goodbye

I'm weak to your efforts
A book you could read
My heart like a desert
Barren without the need

Knowing you're talking
Yet still I don't hear
Hearing only laughter
That we use to share

You say you are happy
I see through your lies
Words meant to hurt me
To push me aside

Your everywhere I look
And everywhere I don't
I am missing something
But it's something I now know.
