Mother, are you listening?

Mother, are you listening?
Your little girl is crying
Watching you as you’re slowly dying
Trying to make some sense

Why god has cursed you with this bleeding
Kneading pain and suffering into your perfect heart
The heart that that gave people hope and love and a new start
Your body is slowly breaking down and I miss your smile

Mother, are you listening?
You hide your pain so well now
Share with me and let me help. Please tell me how…
I vow that I would give my life for yours in a heartbeat

Mother can’t be listening.
No more shall I feel her embrace
The sun kissing her face
Not a trace left of what I miss so much.
