If You Could See What I Hear

If you could see what I hear,
You could see for miles.
Both happiness and fear
You could see the ocean
So clear
A sadness would overcome you
Perhaps
Only to be lifted up again
By one special person so near
You would see a love so great
So fine, from them
You could see for miles.
You could see a blinding light
It’s just trying to guide you right
But you sink away
Not knowing what to do
It’s hard
To trust the only one who’s there
But one day maybe
You’ll understand
That there’s millions out there
Who aren’t doing what was planned
You could see for miles.
And this is what I hear
This is what you see
And this is what could be
A life so simple
Not unnerved
Just try to imagine
Getting everything deserved.
