CUTS
(it's no longer untitled)

This ink spills in words unveiling reality
Baring the truth that love was never meant for me
Cause now I lay lifeless with bruises and scares
Left with cuts that will always tell the story of this girl

Who thought she had the world
But how deceitful was her heart
To lead her to the start of a relationship
Which only ends with cuts and bruises on her wrists

Feelings of depression flowing through her head
Analyzing each one until she wished she was dead
That’s when she chose to pick up the pair of blades
Continuing to cut until she could feel no more pain
Letting the blood rush out of her veins

Why?

The question echoed through her head
Repeating over and over again
Another slice to add to the collection
Another drop to add to the stains
Let the blood rush out of her veins

No more pain

Giving her heart was never enough for him
She tried to give her life
Tears were never an option and
Feelings never shared cause it wasn’t allowed

She was only left to hide
Covering the pain inside
Living reality in her wrists that bared the truth
That everyone was afraid to see
