This pain is haunting me
It will not go away
It takes control of my life
It grows stronger every day

If you kiss me will the loneliness go away?
Will the nights not seem so long?
Will I find relief for once?
Will everything seem less wrong?

If I drink this will I be happy?
Will my problems fade into the night?
Will I focus on the good?
Will my worries be out of sight?

If I smoke this will it erase bitter memories?
Will it dull away the hurt?
Will it make me feel less worthless?
Will it make me feel less like dirt?

If I bleed this tainted blood will you understand?
Will you see my darkened soul?
Will you see you’ve made me vacant?
Will you see you’ve made me cold?

Will this pain ever go away?
I fuck and drink and smoke and bleed
I mask my problems with these things
But a true salvation is what I need
