Sentimental Days

A horrid day begets
And the world is at an end
A thousand colliding emotions
And affection to defend
The sky is bleeding atop this
Teardrops reign upon the town
This ground we walk is decaying
And the sky is falling down
The body’s falling, one by one
But somehow you stand still
My dear, a thousand years have passed
Though I’ve a love, I must fulfill
I suppose my pain means more to you
To heart, the love I spray
Silent words, disperse themselves
And so long to today
I guess I mean much more to you
Than a failed attempt to stay
Upon this old, forsaken world
And it's the end, anyway
It's funny what we learn
When we're about to die
Why do you confess, you love me too
After the years have passed us by
My thoughts for you are poured like wine
Now I've left a scarlet stain
Would you forgive me, for my past
And whatever time remains
I guess I mean much more to you
And the end has left us frozen
Time shall halt, to sing to us
As we remember lost emotions
When acid rain seems far too small
And meteors, too weak
Suspended within this crystal gaze
Don't even try to speak
The apocalypse is falling
And the worlds racing through
My love is ever rising
Though I soon bid it adieu
I'm sorry for not saying
I'm sorry for not trying
Alas! My dear, I love you
Though my words have left me crying
Oh, you mean so much to me
But the world needs to leave
I used to laugh to think of love
But now I shall believe
I only wish I had the time
To love you even more
When the end emits the hidden truth
I wish I told you long before
Time has left me motionless
Within our constrained embrace
Though I only pray, I had the time
To dry the tears that stained your face
