the girl who lives inside of me
is nothing but a punctured soul
with happiness
as an empty abyss
she can't help but keep
the bliss she stole
the girl who lives inside of me
plays with all her toys
her morbid dolls
drawing on the walls
imagining her dreams
with all her piercing joys
the girl who lives inside of me
captures all her pain
traps it to keep
buries it deep
trying not to see
all that made her sane
the girl who lives inside of me
is drowning me with tears
she desperatly cries
as she slowly dies
almost leaving me be
but then remembers her fears
the girl who lives inside of me
suffocates in desperation
as she loses breath
her eyes become death
but with one single need
she recovers from her recession
the girl who lives inside of me
reveals that single need
she whispers in my ear
the secret she's kept for years
and as i'm swallowed in my screams
i realize the girl is me
