The Bloody Sky

Once upon a broken home
There lived two broken eyes
That bled, two broken hearts again
That led two broken lives
Once upon a morbid dream
There lived two shattered men
But I could never stop myself
From becoming both of them

Cast me unto the cemetery
And sing along, with I
Chant with me, this merry day
Under the bloody sky
The fence encircles, this horrid place
The graves mark newer birth
The flowers, once, cast out in love
Our consumed and forced to Earth
The air is thick with dead man's blood
And the smell one can't convey
The bodies leave their mark, unto
As the endless bones decay
The crows mark but this midnight
And the clock is few to none
Tick tock... screams his empathy
Laughter has begun

Once upon a midnight dream
With the heavens melting through
I tried to force myself as one
Though shattered, I've become two
Once upon a merry dream
I was never more alone
Welcome, to my timeless dreams
Welcome to my home

Once upon this shattered soul
I wrote to simply speak
I wrote when lungs had pulled me down
And words had left me weak
Oh, dear sacred, holy dream
It's sad, because it's true
You are my temporary unity
When this broken home breaks me in two

Below me are twelve roses
And a heartache I can taste
While no one else, will care, my love
I've left a grand bouquet
Recite the sacred poem
Close the coffin tight
Now onward with impossible
Forget youself goodnight
The lights have woken up my dreams
Please bleed me one more slumber
There goes my death, my poem
I wish I'd bleed another

Once upon a midnight dream
I pray forgiveness for my crimes
Come hither, forth, lay down with me
I shant delay our time
Follow towards the shadows
I'm encircled by defeat
My horrid tendencies suffice
I've finally seen the other me
Follow, towards the graveyard
I've dug it 12 feet deep
I figured we might need some space
For both of us to sleep

Once upon a midnight dream
With the walls, twelve feet high
The storms had poured and poured their tears
Amidst a bloody sky
And I ask myself these questions
As the other half lay cold on me
Why did we die upon these grounds
Of a forsaken cemetery
The gaze of life and death, looks back
Could you never see?
When the world leaves us empty
Tis the skies that cry and bleed
The home to all that's passed away
Tis my home to destiny
For when no one else, shall care, my love
The skies have sympathy
